"There is a secret psychology to money.  Most people don't know about it.  That's why most people never become financially successful. A lack of money is not the problem; it is merely a symptom of what's going on inside you."

Building Your "Money Muscles"

My dad just turned 91 last week!  He is amazing and in very good shape.  For as long as I can remember  he would do his push ups,leg lifts ,and back stretches most mornings.  He still does them, even with a less than willing body.

Why does a 91 year old do this when so many his age are physically inactive and ill? He loves to travel and be on the go and knows keeping his muscles strong is essential. He doesn't particularly like to exercise yet does it for his desired outcome; an active life.

If money is currently challenging for you, entertain this thought provoking question, "What if you are not seeing the money yet because you are not ready for it?"  Maybe it's time to build your "money muscles" in preparation for your desired outcome.

The question then becomes  "where do I still need to grow and learn in order to be ready to receive more?" This is a much more empowering way to approach this issue.

Most people would rather look outside themselves and play the blame game.  After all, it's less painful than needing to take responsibility for ourselves.

This work takes courage and commitment and generally requires looking at your core beliefs (we discussed core beliefs in the previous issue)

It is a know fact that the majority of major Lotto winners are broke and often worse off within 5 years of winning the BIG prize.  What happens for them?  Most have not learned how to handle money or found out what they truly wanted to use the money for.  Therefore, they become consumers, give money away and generally mishandle it.  They have not developed their "money muscles" or the mindset to keep the money.

In order to be ready to receive more abundance in your life/business try building strong "money muscles"

HOW TO BUILD STRONG "MONEY MUSCLES"

  • Educate yourself now-if you have ignored or mishandled your money educate yourself on money management by taking classes, reading, talking with a professional, learning about investment strategies, financial planning, etc.

  •  Honestly look at your finances-this can be an eye openers if you've ignored the bills, debts, etc.  Write everything down on paper.  Make a lists of your assets, debts, cash, savings and income.  What is your current situation?  Seeing it on paper can be very enlightening and is a first step towards financial prosperity.

  • Make a  money goal and tell someone about it- Decide what you would like to do first.  Ideas are: come up with a more workable budget, write a  financial plan for the next 6 months, retire some of your debt, etc.  By taking charge you are empowering yourself to handle your money more responsibly. By telling another you are more likely to follow through because you want to be accountable and trustworthy.

With courage and commitment and taking these three steps you may be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.  You will be on your way to building strong "money muscles" to support you in your desired outcome; a prosperous and financially sound business.
